Prayer Bulletin
– September 1, 2010
“Faith is a plant
that grows best in winter”
Praises:
Crystal
Salsman arrived in Chile safe and sound
Barb Culver
was out to church last Sunday morning
John Ross is
home and recovering nicely from his surgery
Thanking God
for the safety that He gives and that we take for granted
Support and Health Needs:
The different
ministries present at the Wyoming County Fair, such as local churches and
the Gideon Assoc.
King’s
Daughters ministry as it continues to reach out to the ladies of our church
as well as the community
For many
couples in our area who do not know Christ and are struggling with weak
marriages, financial losses, rebellious children and possible unemployment
that they would see that the risen Christ is the answer to their problems
School has
started – pray for our elementary students and high school kids
After summer
break, our programs are beginning to “rev-up”, such as Awana, Youth
Ministry, Teen Bible Study and Sr. Choir - pray for the children of our
community to be reached for Christ and for our youth leaders
Upcoming
election in November as this is a very pivotal time in our Country
Each of us
would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in reaching out to those
around us who maybe nice people but are still spiritually lost and need
Christ
Pray for
President Barack Obama’s salvation and that he would be open to better
leadership
For the troops
in Afghanistan and Iraq who are putting their lives on the line for freedom
against the onslaught of terrorism. Pray for protection of our troops as
well as other countries that are standing against these terrorists
For our country
and its financial difficulties which is a direct problem to our spiritual
shallowness and the things of God. We as a nation must return to Christ if
we are to be blessed of the Lord. It is that simple.
NOTES
of Interest:
For the ROCC
Ministry (Reaching our Community for Christ) at the Northeast Bradford
School as it continues to grow in support in reaching out to youth and
adults in that area
“Karl and
Deborah Haefka request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their
daughter Dezra Rose to Jay Richard Brigham on Saturday, September 25 at two
o’clock in the afternoon at Hope Baptist Church, Hiduk and Cross Rds.,
Wyalusing PA.” The reception will follow and there are sign-up sheets
posted on the bulletin boards to sign if you are planning to attend the
reception.
The continued
and growing anger of a proposed mosque being built at Ground Zero and the
insensitivity of the Muslim community in seeking to build with little regard
to the over 3,000 people who lost their lives at Ground Zero. This does not
build good relations between the Muslim community and American people at
this time. Also there is a Muslim place of worship in that area as well as
many mosque’s that are being built throughout our country. Someone has
likened it if the Japanese had built a shrine to honor the Japanese at Pearl
Harbor immediately after the war.
